Venture capitalists are buying cryptocurrency funds and related stocks in a big way as the hedge is better than traditional risk assets

Seeking to hedge their bets, investors around the world are rushing to buy cryptocurrency funds and related stocks.

Research firm Fundstrat wrote in its latest report that venture capitalists poured about $4 billion into the crypto sector in the last three weeks of February. In addition, data shows that the crypto sector is receiving an average of $800 million to $2 billion in investments per week going into 2022.


Paul Hsu, founder of Decasonic, said the Russia-Ukraine conflict has indeed objectively accelerated the growth of blockchain. "We can see a number of people have moved money from real estate funds and bond funds to cryptocurrency funds due to rising interest rates - a phenomenon I've seen in funds I've raised myself."
